How mylnk uses your Google data
Connecting a Google account is optional, and mylnk works without it. If you choose to connect one, here is exactly what we request and why.
gmail.readonly
Gmail — read-only
mylnk reads email metadata (subject line, sender and recipient addresses, and date) so it can recognize the people you network with, keep each contact's timeline up to date, and alert you when an important contact emails you. Message content is not stored unless you separately turn on email history for a contact you have marked as valuable.
contacts.readonly
Google Contacts — read-only
With your permission, mylnk imports names and contact details from your Google account so you do not have to retype the people you already know.
calendar.events
Google Calendar events — read and write
mylnk reads your events so meetings appear on your mylnk calendar and prep reminders fire before a conversation, and writes events you create in mylnk back to your Google Calendar so the two stay in sync. mylnk syncs with your primary calendar and covers events only — it cannot list, create, delete, or share a calendar itself.
tasks
Google Tasks — read and write
Follow-ups you create in mylnk are pushed to your default Google Tasks list, and changes there sync back, so your next steps show up wherever you already work.
mylnk's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell your data, and we do not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models. You can disconnect your Google account at any time from Settings, and deleting your mylnk account deletes the data associated with it. Data is stored in the United States.
